“Happiness is not something ready-made. It comes from your own actions” – Dalai Lama XIV.
Despite the global interest in well-being and happiness, anxiety, stress, and depression remain significant. The cost of unhappiness is enormous, and it is considered one of the most critical health challenges of our time. Further, studies have shown that most people are not fully conscious of what drives their happiness (Clarke, Black, Stussman, Barnes & Nahin, 2015; Siahpush, Spittal, and Singh, 2008), and increasing an individual’s happiness not only benefits the individual but the society as a whole.
Imagine a future App that leverages mobile technology, big data, research, and artificial intelligence to improve the human condition. An app could provide individuals and their friends, families, and loved ones with a robust set of tools, strategies, insights, recommendations, and ways of thinking that enable them to lead happier and more fulfilling lives.
Through guided reflections, avatar conversations, and behavior integration – an App could collect crucial data and help correlate a user’s happiness to Who, What, When, and Where most influence a user’s Bliss.
Could an App transform our Future Self?
